At present it’s the time for black-necked-crane fly to Yunnan to winter.In Huize,Yunnan,to better research and protect the black-necked-cranes and bar-headed-gooses in the reserve,researchers installed the GPS bag-pack on their back. To avoid the bar-headed-goose getting too nervous ,the workers put a black headgear on the black-necked crane before they were installed the devices ,and occasionally tapped its wings and back to let it relax.
where does it live every day? where does it find food to eat? where does it sleep? What’s its migration route and where it is reproduced in summer when it left the reserve.The tracker can record accurately all the information about the activity of its wildlife .
According to experts,it’s difficult to capture and install the tracker for the black-necked-crane without any hurt. They just installed the tracker for a black-necked-crane and five bar-headed-gooses in the first month of this year.Since 2014, the workers have installed tracker for 25 birds including black-necked-crane,common crane ,bar-headed-goose...
On the afternoon of Apr 24,2018, in a farm located in the shore of Poyang Lake ,Nanchang province,a farmer found a snow crane lying in the pond,then he immediately jumped into the pond to save it.At last,the snow crane was sent to Jiangxi province wildlife rescue breeding center, its condition is bad ,it was very vulnerable and could hardly stand on its own ,the feather was very dirty ,besides ,there was a little hair removal under the abdomen. Why the snow crane stay there? It may have some causes for a long time ,causing it to be difficult to eat or malnutrition , so it looked very weak.After several days of good care ,the snow crane was nursed back to health and could survive in the wild.
At present ,we know that the main bird population were taking a rest at Momoge nature reserve in Jilin Province,the workers planed to escort the snow crane to Jilin so that it could rejoin the main bird population .After having a rest for several days , it can fly to the Siberia follow its flock.
